Eternally Blessed – a poem for John and Shirley by Alistair Henderson

Created by Nicky one month ago
John and Shirley can now unite,
free to reminisce as we hope they might.
On wandering hand in hand, on paths both near and far,
Through landscapes vast, beneath sun, moon and stars.

Shirley's blooms; her garden fair,
John's brushstrokes painted, in colours rare.
Melodies of old; John's piano tunes,
And Shirleys greenhouse of beautiful blooms.

Remember the cakes and savouring each bite,
John in his cap smiling with delight.
Now, John's brushes lay still, his piano keys at rest,
Together now with Shirley, a love eternally blessed.
